How to Book a Session

She will answer any and all questions you may have about the process or the product, as well as discuss with you any specific needs or goals you have for your shoot. You will work together to find the best date for your shoot, and once your $100 deposit has been received (payable by cash, check, Venmo, or bank transfer), that date will be officially yours! About a week before your shoot, Hillary will send you a confirmation email with all the details you will need for the day.
What to Wear, What to Bring
Actors should do their hair and makeup as they would for an on-camera audition. Bring tools and/or makeup for touch-ups as needed!
Men have the option of beginning their shoot with facial hair and shaving halfway through. Women have the option of arriving with curly hair and straightening it halfway through their shoot (or vice versa). If you wear glasses, bring 'em!
When it comes to clothing options, more is more! Bring a bunch of shirt, sweater, dress, and jacket/blazer/hoodie/cardigan options that are comfortable, fit you well, and accentuate all your positives. Bright colors can be great, but black and grey and more muted colors can work well too. Bring colors that you think suit you best and that make you feel great--especially if there's a color that brings our your eyes, or the highlights in your hair, or just suits your skin tone. It's generally best to stay away from busy patterns or logos or anything too distracting--you want people to be looking at YOU, not your shirt! Women should bring some simple jewelry. Men should consider bringing a suit and a few tie options. Wear pants and shoes that make you feel attractive and comfortable--it'll affect how you feel and your posture.
Feel free to bring any music you'd like to listen to during the shoot!
***You will also need to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, either by bringing your card or a photo of your card, and a face mask to wear indoors before and after your shoot.***
The Shoot
When you arrive, you and Hillary will go through all your clothing options and pick the best looks, as well as make sure that your makeup and hair are looking camera-ready.
The shoot itself will last about 2 hours and is designed to feel casual, comfortable, and relaxed--it's important that you feel completely at ease and confident to just be yourself! You can play any music you have brought with you, and you will be able to take breaks to check hair/makeup, have a glass of water, or just relax your face muscles for a minute!
The remainder of your payment is due at your session, payable by cash, check, Venmo, or bank transfer.
As long as indoor mask recommendations remain in effect, Hillary will wear a face mask at all times while indoors. Please wear your mask indoors except while shooting or touching up makeup!
Then What?
Hillary will deliver your full set of high-res unretouched proofs via Dropbox within 24 hours of your shoot. Those photos are all yours!
Take your time and look them over, and when you've decided on your picks for retouching, email those numbers to Hillary. She can almost always give you a 48-hour turnaround on retouching (and often even quicker). When the images are done, she will email you retouched images for your approval and (if needed) offer advice and recommendations for printing.
Additional retouching beyond the number of images included in your package is available for $25 per image.
